TWEETSGIVING and (gr)attitude

I guess I’ve been underblogging to spare you, my slim readership, from all the things I am ungrateful for (which I’m sure you’re grateful for!).  Even though this year has SUCKED monumentally, there have been lots of highlights and plenty of adventures.

As someone that moves CONSTANTLY be it from city to city or house to house I finally moved into a place this year that I like, that has a great interpersonal dynamic and allows me to walk to work, bars, the homes of many a friend and is MAD CHEAP.  This is a big win.

Also I got a rare opportunity to get outta dodge last month and got to visit my brother in NC - I am extremely grateful that my brother/best friend is now a scant 800 miles away instead of 2000 - now we can make in-jokes about the south…together!  Also super-grateful for his fiancee who is going to make a kickass addition to our family!  I would hate to watch my brother get engaged to someone who was not totally awesome, fun, encouraging and life-enriching.  Yay to her being all those things and more!

Also, my friends.  They take care of me, they humor me, they still invite me to things even though I have been a permanent grump, they still think I am cool and know what’s up in spite of permagrumpiness, and sometimes they volunteer to help events I am working on!

I am lucky for a lot of things.  And I feel grateful to have a reason to reflect on them, thus improving my outlook today enormously!
